We advertise with Google Ads. If you reach us through one of our ads, Google appends a click ID (gclid) to the link that it generated for that click; on Apple devices the identifiers gbraid or wbraid may be appended instead. We remove all of these identifiers from the address bar straight away. We only use the gclid if you agree in the notice shown to you then; we never use gbraid or wbraid. Until you decide, the click ID is only held in the memory of the open page and is neither stored nor transmitted.

If you agree, we keep the click ID in your browser's session storage, which is deleted when you close the tab. If you then book a call or place an order, we record the click ID together with that step on our self-hosted analytics server in Germany. Later we transmit the click ID, the kind of step (for example "call booked"), its time and, for paid orders, the net amount to Google. This tells us which ads lead to enquiries, and lets Google adjust how our ads are delivered. We do not send your name, e-mail address or any other contact details, and no Google scripts or cookies run on this website. Google can, however, link the click ID to the ad click and so, where applicable, to your device or Google account.

If you decline or do not answer, nothing is stored or transmitted, and the website works exactly the same. We remember your choice (yes or no, and the date) in your browser's local storage for up to 12 months so we do not ask again on every ad; if you agreed, this also covers later clicks on our ads during that time. Storing this choice is strictly necessary to respect it (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

Legal basis: your consent, under § 25(1) TDDDG for storing the click ID in your browser and under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR for recording it and transmitting it to Google. Recipient: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google processes the data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. Google may also process the data in the USA and, according to Google, relies for this on Google LLC's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission, Art. 45 GDPR) and on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Retention: in your browser until you close the tab; on our analytics server and in our upload log we delete the click ID no later than 90 days after the step (Google only accepts conversions up to 90 days after a click); at Google according to Google's retention periods. Withdrawal: you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, via "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page or "Revoke ad measurement" below. This deletes the click ID from your browser and it is no longer sent. Processing carried out before the withdrawal remains lawful; withdrawing does not retrieve data already transmitted to Google. Consent is voluntary; declining has no disadvantage for you.
